The primary navigation bar, available at the top of every page, lets you quickly jump between areas in Destiny and across Follett products.

The system remembers where you left off if you go back during the same session.

 

Applications menu

Use the Applications menu to navigate between Follett Software products and pages. The options you see will vary based on your access level, region, and product access. The full list of site-level options includes:

Use the Profile icon to customize preferences and settings. Learn more

The secondary navigation bar gives you access to:

• Breadcrumbs: See where you are in the product. Use them instead of your browser's Back button to return to previous pages.
• Reset Page: Clear previous selections (on Circulation pages).
• Language: Select a language (on Catalog pages, if enabled at your school. Not shown above).
• Product switcher: If you have multiple Destiny Back Office products, switch between them, or view all at once.

Destiny organizes tasks in the collapsible sidebar menu. Whether you want to catalog or circulate resources, run reports, or configure your site, use the following basic navigation steps:

1. From the sidebar, click one of the following menu items: Catalog, Circulation, Reports, Admin, My Info, or More.
2. Click an option.
3. Some pages have tabs. Click the appropriate tab for the task you want to perform.
   

Note: A user has access to functions based on the permissions assigned by a Destiny Administrator or site-level administrator.

• Home: Customize the homepage with text, links, and images.

• Catalog: Perform tasks related to adding or updating records for the materials in your collection, as well as access search functionality.

• Circulation: Perform functions related to circulation, such as checking out and checking in materials, managing fines (and fees in Resource Manager), and looking up a patron's status.

• Reports: Gather data from preconfigured reports, such as patrons with overdue materials or outstanding fines. In Library Manager, you can see collection areas that need weeding, promotion, or enhancement. In Resource Manager, you can see resource value, lost resources and fines, and circulation statistics. Use the Report Builder feature to create custom reports.

•  Admin: Perform administrative tasks, such as configuring your site, running inventory, and managing patrons.

•  My Info: See your own status, including current checkouts and due dates, fines, and holds. Access your Resource Lists.
  

  Note: Patrons can also view their status in Destiny Discover by clicking the My Stuff icon from any page. If your school uses both Library Manager and Resource Manager, all checked-out resources are included.

Depending on permissions, district users can perform actions, such as managing library materials, resources, and patrons for the district; creating district reports; and accessing the district warehouse and/or the advance booking site. These functions are accessed in District Back Office.

To access District Back Office:

1. From the primary navigation bar, click District View.
2. Select the Applications menu > District Back Office.
   

District users with the appropriate permission can access the District Dashboard.

Destiny Administrators access a Setup page to perform tasks, such as adding sites, setting up district users, configuring an SMTP (mail) server, and setting various options for the entire district.

To access the Setup page:

1. From the primary navigation bar, click District View.
2. Select the Applications menu > Setup.
